The Leadership Institute seeks to provide a more holistic framework from which professionals in the corporate world can become more effective, dynamic, and innovative leaders. Being successful in the corporate world requires not only innovative and visionary thinking but practical life skills in order to communicate effectively and efficiently with others. Working to this end The Leadership Institute offers a wide variety of trainings and workshops designed to enhance and develop the practical life skills and ethical vision of corporate leaders to meet the challenges of the coming millennium. Our approach is integrative and seeks to harmonize both the necessary life skills with the moral and ethical development necessary to be effective and dynamic and creative leaders.
This first part of this training focuses on the development of basic life skills here referred to as Life Skill Training. The second deals with basic moral or character development Character Development Training. The Life Skills Training includes six basic workshops: Conflict Management training, Conscious Communication training, Time-task management, Goal Setting and Prioritizing Training, Concentration and Being Present Training and Team Building and Diversity Training. It also includes the basic Character Development Training articulated in the Educational Statement of purpose offering.

Conscious and Compassionate Communication training
Time-task management and Effective Decision making
Goal Setting and Prioritizing Training

It also includes the basic "Character Development Training" articulated in the Non-Profit section.
This workshop will focus on the importance of developing inner concentration and sustained focus on a given task without succumbing to distraction and inattention. Most people suffer from lack of sustained attention or what some have labeled "incompletionitis." It is the disease of not finishing anything we start. Perhaps no disease is more widespread in our contemporary society. Its symptoms are the inability to maintain focus for long periods of time, giving only part of our attention to the task or dwelling on the past excessively. The results of this lack of focus are poor quality work, low productivity and inefficiency. More importantly on the personal level it may result in agitation, lack of inner peace or needless conflicts with others.

This workshop focuses the value and importance of team work and team-playing in the corporate and educational fields. It encourages leaders to place a high value on team process including active listening skills, non judgmental communication, clear role assignments and reflective process. It helps those already conversant with team playing to develop an appreciation for diversity, difference of opinion and perspective. It helps leaders see the importance and need for flexibility, prioritizing agendas and the skill of being able to see the end in the beginning of every endeavor. Finally, it helps build in inter group dynamics through and value the power of group intelligence
